What is Night Without A Home?
A Night Without A Home provides an opportunity to discuss, think, and learn about homelessness through several interactive events and activities sponsored by The PATH Center of Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission and Defiance College Social Work Seniors.
Tents will be displayed on the front lawn of Defiance College’s campus to represent the homeless individuals and families who received emergency shelter services from The PATH Center. Participants can walk through Tent City and hear first-hand about homelessness from several people in our community. Dozens more stories about the homeless in northwest Ohio will also be posted for participants to read as they stroll through the tents.
People are also welcome to spend the night in the tents to get a taste of what it might feel like to be without a home. This awareness-raising event will add to the education process for anyone learning about homelessness.
Whether you come for the evening, or you stay the whole night, A Night Without A Home promises to be an educational event for the entire community.
