Luke McMaster

October 21 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Award-winning Canadian singer and prolific songwriter, Luke McMaster began his career as one half of the Gold selling Canadian duo, McMaster & James. Luke cut his teeth with some of the biggest acts of the day, opening for Randy Bachman, Justin Timberlake, Christine Aguilera and more. Strongly influenced by such icons as Al Green, Hall & Oates and Marvin Gaye, in 2018, Luke began collaborating with icons of soul, including Motown’s legendary Lamont Dozier, writer/producer of more than 30#1 classic R&B chart-toppers (“Love Is Like A Heat Wave,” “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch),” and “You Can’t Hurry Love”) and Rascals founder Felix Cavaliere (“Good Lovin’,” “Groovin’,” and “People Got to Be Free”).

With ringing endorsements from Motown icons like Lamont Dozier, who collaborated on Luke’s ICONS OF SOUL album, and Smokey Robinson who shouted him out on Twitter “Check out @lukemcmaster’s cover of my song ‘Ooh Baby Baby,’” adding, “Amazing job, Luke!” Luke confidently honours the Motown era that we know and love while crafting new soulful hits for the next generation.

This concert was cancelled in March 2020 due to covid. We are excited to finally be able to bring Luke McMaster to the Stroede Center!
