World War II Reenactment

July 9 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Setup on July 8th. July 9th: There will be a camp area, open to the public, and then stations where reenactors will discuss different aspects of being a soldier during different points during the war. We are also looking at having a ‘recruiting area’ for kids, where they would learn some basic drill – standing at attention, marching, etc. We have invited some of the other side (Germans) to join us, so that some of their perspective can be shared too. There will be a public “battle” in the afternoon on Saturday to demonstrate some of the different skills and tactics used, and just how difficult combat could be for the soldiers.

Participants can contact the following for more information:
Bo Johnstone, Lt. Col. Cavalry CO, US Mech Forces HQ (reenactors) at email: trpa121cav@hotmail.com or Bob Mergel at email: rjmergel@gmail.com
